‘I Am Hungry!’

What’s Up Hungry Munchkins? How many times have you heard your growing kids say ‘I am hungry.’?  How many times has your stomach told you, ‘I am hungry!’?  What is the true meaning of being hungry?  Hunger is a natural cue that our body needs food.  What is food?  Food is any nutritious substance that people eat or drink to maintain life and growth.  When we and our children get that signal, the natural response is for your children to come to beg for food, or your stomach will growl.  I’ll speak for myself, I get frustrated, because I just gave them something just about an hour ago, and they are still hungry. I get frustrated because I feel hungry.

We eat a lot of foods that have few nutrients our body crave.

We have to shift how we think about how we eat.  Are you hungry for sugar?  I would call it a  sweet tooth calling.  A sweet tooth is, you eat one serving of desert, but it is not enough and eat another serving, and another.  By this time, you feel guilty.  The reason is you told yourself I am not going to do that again, and you fail.  Mostly because you are not giving your body natural fruits, we are eating junk food.  Junk Food is food that has low nutritional value, typically produced in the form of packaged snacks needing little or no preparation.  We should be eating around 2 to 4 servings of fruits a day including diabetics, according to Healthline’s online article,  How Much Fruit Should We Eat?

We can get a grip on our hunger. In my next post, “What is a Meal Plan?”  I will share what it is, its benefits, and how important it is in meeting your overall health and wealth goals.  Our Mission is to equip, encourage, and empower Hungry Munchkins to create or purchase nutrient rich meals so they can live healthy and enriched lives.  Please comment below, are my children the only ones that are hungry 24/7?  Please share this post with your family and friends.
