Meet The Chef
Hi, I am Chef Robert
Hi Hungry Munchkins!
I’m Your Wise Chef. I started taking interest in the kitchen around 8 years old. My parents started to teach me how to cook at 10 years old. I could cook breakfast by my self around 11 years old. I always saw my mom cook. It was not until I saw my dad cook in the kitchen, that my interest in cooking exploded. I would watch Julia Child on PBS on Saturdays. I also watched Justin Wilson the most. I could relate to him more because he talked like me. Both my dad and Justin Wilson were my greatest influences for going to chef school. When I saw my dad cook, I saw him create dishes, and it got my wheels turning. I enjoyed it so much I went to one of the top schools in the nation Johnson & Wales University. I have worked for various chain restaurants for several years but my health began to decline. I went from working like two to three jobs at a time to barely being able to stand on my feet for a couple hours a day.
It took me a while to figure out what to do, I decided to be my family’s chef to make sure we ate well. I realized that I was not able to do what I loved outside the home because I was not taking good care of myself. I was not eating or exercising. My health most times took a back seat to other priorities and I had to make some changes.
I started riding my bike and my knees and ankles started to feel a lot better. Cycling is my most favorite cardio exercise. I also started preparing better high nutrient based meals and I have lost 14 pounds to date. I know your health is most important. If you are not healthy, you can’t fulfil your purpose.
I want to help my clients to make better choices in the kitchen. You can be so busy that meal planning is not the top priority. More often times, we are tired and eating for health takes a lower priority under work, kids, and sports. Most times take out is an easier solution, because its to late to think about whats for dinner after practice or after the game. I can help you to solve those problems. I am going help you meal plan around other priorities while keeping you and your families health as a top priority.
You may be a beginner, intermediate, or pro in the kitchen. Some may consider me a pro in the kitchen, I just keep an open mind and willing to try most things. I try to learn something new around the kitchen, whether it’s equipment, food, cooking techniques every day. I will share as much as I can. I invite you to visit my website Blog often. This will have the most up to date class and program schedules.
Heres to every Hungry Munchkins Success!
What I Do for Healthy Nutrition?
I try my best to eat more at home and try to make sure lots of high quality nutrients are on the plate. I achieve this by:
- Creating a Meal plan using what is already in my home first
- Try new and interesting recipes
- Figure how to make meals I can get at restaurants more healthy
- Eat more plant based meals and snacks
